Their food is ok- my husband loves their chipotle burger. It's not on the menu anymore but they have still made it for him a couple times. I've had their fries and flatbread and they're both nothing amazing. They have a couple of interesting beers on tap (Heavy Seas Loose Cannon IPA) most of the time, but we've had flat beer there more than once My major gripe is we went on a Saturday night when a band was playing. I expect it to be loud, but they lowered the lights and the music was so loud you felt like you were at a concert. It was way over the top (I don't even remember if the band was any good) and I really didn't expect to be quite so deafening. Unpleasant.

Could be a fun bar considering there are not many options in Prince Frederick but they do everything they can to make you want to leave. Saturday night you walk in and they have a horrible local band playing so loud that you can't even think. Then they want a $5 cover to watch this horrible band. Look in and there are about 10 people there. They do this every weekend night. They don't realize that having these bands play runs people off. It doesn't attract people. If you have to have a garbage band play every night at least make them turn it down so people can actually talk. Clearly they do NOT want people in the bar area.

We had me, my boyfriend, daughter and newborn who is still in a infant seat. Sat in a "booth" which was two tables pushed together. TV was stuck on Spongebob and the wall remote didn't work. Waitress didn't seem to care and she apparently told the manager who never came to check on us. Went to watch the MLB HR Derby and the TV is stuck on Spongebob at a Sports bar/restaurant???? Waitress was not helpful or very friendly. Food was ok, got boneless wings in Golden BBQ which is comparable to Glory Days Glory Wings and the cheeseburger sliders which seemed to be frozen and then microwaved, super dry. Daughter's Mac and cheese was fine, she ate it all. We aren't big people but felt very cramped in the booth. Will go back only to watch games in the bar area without the kids and only ordering bottled beer. We both got Coors Light Draft and it was just off....how do you screw up Coors light??

I lived in calvert county all my life and returned this winter with an out of state license. I was not served because my license was out of state despite showing three additional cards because none were photo IDs. My group of six all had to leave despite me being 25 and well over serving age. I will never attend this bar again for their inability to handle this. I called the manager after the fact to complain and he continued to argue with me. This place is unprofessional and lacks customer service.

I came here for lunch with a big group. We had a reservation. The service was great and we were treated very nicely, but the food was not good. I made the mistake of ordering a salad and it was ALL iceberg lettuce. I'm picky about my salads, but it's not hard to make a great one. My son's apples were from a package, which was fine but they were expired. If you're looking for tasty, fresh food, go somewhere else for sure, but if you're looking for a place to meet a bunch of friends for a drink and bar food, this might be more your place!

A fresh idea for Southern Maryland. Great atmosphere and includes a sports bar. The food and service were outstanding and the cost is not high at all. The only down side it the first to new bar drink, that one of our party ordered, were not available. Red Skin overkill on the walls. Glad to see a Cowboys banner hanging. :-)

Green turtle has ok food we eat here about once a month for something different. There hamburgers are pretty good for frozen patties most of the time, if you say well don't most of the time it comes out med well if you say med well it will be rare. The flat bread turkey sandwich is good also just very messy.

After hitting the thrift store next door, popped in for a drink and to use the bathroom. The folks at the front desk seemed nice and got a laugh when I told them I was just drinking, since I I was on liquid diet. The bar area was fine with whatever sporting events on the TVs. Got a good laugh from all the Washington football players stuff on the wall when I realized it was the from when they were good (20 plus years ago).

Great bar tender! The food not so great. I had the fish tacos. They throw sautéed onions on here that really had no flavor. My first taco was decent. My second taco tasted like crisco was on the outside of the soft shell. I have no clue what they did to it or why it had a grease lining but it was awful. I couldn't complain because i was on a date:(. But i would have if i was by myself!!!!!

Services sucks!!!! Im here on a Sunday and the place isn't that busy. The bartenders just walk around and do there own thing. They don't worry about whether the customers need drinks or anything else. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Don't forget to pack your emergency flares--they just might help signaling to the staff that you'd like their attention more than once every 30 minutes. My glass sat empty multiple times for at least 15 minutes, a trauma no man should have to endure when rooting for a team as sorry as mine. My expectations aren't terribly high for service or food when watching a game and eating some bar food, but this place just doesn't cut it. Then again, there aren't too many choices in Prince Frederick, so you might just have to suck it up and deal with it.

One of the smaller turtles, but the set-up isn't bad. Plus they have brews on tap that other turtles don't. However, the taps aren't maintained. For example, I asked for a Batch 19 after seeing it on tap and the bartender didn't know it was on tap and offered a bottle. I pointed out the tap, so she verififed with the manager. Manager said the batch was bad and after a taste, I agreed. Kind of a let down, but of well.

Walked in at prime time dinner time on a Friday night. Seated right away. Service was fast but very friendly! The food was amazing & not too pricey. Great menu options. I loved the crab cakes sandwich! All lump meat. Husband loved his burger. I really enjoyed our visit & plan to return again, even with it being 45 minutes from home.

Walked in about 8pm to hang out at the bar and grab some food. Band was playing and it wasnt too crowded so we were able to get a table. Why just the one star?? Well band was ok. Pretty good doing some songs and horrible on others. Also a waitress was running around and did seem to be the only one but in the hour and a half we were there she NEVER came to the table which made us have to go to the bar and get drinks ourselves. Even when we tried to get her attention she would look at us and walk away. In the end we ordered a total of 6 drinks. There was 4 people in our party. Oh and by 930 the only people left where pretty much sitting at the bar.

A would have to agree with reviews of other folks. The food is nothing spectacular. The staff is not very attentive at times. I have bern there with a live band and the sound was painfully deafening. They do have a lot of TVs in there for watching sports. They also have a side party room for having small get togethers. Its kind of nice for kids events. The kids game room is a nice feature, but half the games are broken Overall, i wont be going there of my own volition any more, but will if with a group of friends.

Started off being a great place but has turned into something different as of late. The dining portion is good to sit and go but expect to wait in the bar seeing as their staff is limited even on the weekends. Food and Drinks are 3/5. Menu selection isn't all that big either.

Same ole menu - it's okay. Not a restaurant of choice. Don't care for the food. Bartenders are really nice and the bar area is fun. Would like to see new food choices and higher quality food.

We have had nothing but good experiences here with the food and wait staff. The fish and chips are tasty as well as the pickle spears!! We will be back.

We enjoy going to our local green turtle to enjoy a beer, some weirdly awesome crab dip, and some wings. The service is just ok, especially when they are busy, but overall we enjoy coming here. I would suggest grabbing a bar seat of possible as the bar tenders are very attentive to the people sitting directly at the bar.

Came in to have dinner and watch a hockey game. Server informed us she would let the manager know of our preference, but the TV shows were at his discretion. So, we got to see four TVs of men shooting deer instead. Nothing like a flailing, wounded deer on the screen during your dinner when you came to watch hockey. Won't be back, thanks.

Waited close to 2 hours for food that never came. The people who came after us got their food before us. No update from the waitress on arrival of food. No apology or effort to compensate for wasted time. Do yourself a favor and don't go.

I know that the 'turtle' is really as sports bar - but they do have a menu. Well I ordered fish and chips (can't miss bar food even). But no, the fish showed up really burnt. The waitress even commented when I asked, that that's the way the friers are cooking it today - sent it back My wife ordered a grilled shrimp salad. It showed up with half cooked shrimp - it went back too. We paid for our sodas and left. Also, the family in the next booth sent back their sliders about the same time we were sending back our meals Another note or two about the management or lack of it. You would have thought that a manager would have showed up during this disaster - but no. Finally there was a group of 20 something's with their girlfriends thta were doing pushups in the middle of the restaurant - not really appropriate. again there was no manager presence. I guess the bar business and the TVs gets it done for the restaurant. I can't rate it low enough.
